Returns & Refunds Policy

We want you to love everything you bring into your home from Oak & Birch, a brand of TJ&A Global Online LLC. If something isn't quite right, we're here to make it easy — while being transparent about the limitations that apply to certain product types.
Return Window
We accept returns on eligible items within 30 days of the delivery date. Items must be in their original, unused condition with all original packaging and tags intact.
Eligible Items
The following items are eligible for return:
• Textiles (rugs, throws, cushions — unwashed and unused)
• Small furniture items in original, unassembled condition with all original packaging
Non-Returnable Items
The following items cannot be returned or exchanged:
• Custom or made-to-order items
• Final sale or clearance items (marked as such at time of purchase)
• Items showing signs of use, assembly, or customer-caused damage
• Items returned without original packaging or missing components
• Compressed or rolled furniture (e.g. foam mattresses, rolled rugs, flat-pack furniture) that have been opened or unpackaged — see important note below
Important Notice: Compressed, Rolled & Flat-Pack Furniture
Many of our furniture items — including mattresses, foam pieces, rolled rugs, and flat-pack furniture — are shipped in compressed or vacuum-sealed packaging. Once this packaging is opened, the product expands or is otherwise altered and cannot be returned to its original compressed state for reshipping.
Similarly, furniture that has been partially or fully assembled cannot be returned.
We strongly encourage all customers to:
• Inspect the outer packaging for damage before opening
• Review all product images, dimensions, color swatches, and descriptions on the product page before opening or assembling
• Contact us before opening if you have any concerns about color, size, or compatibility
Once compressed packaging has been opened or assembly has begun, the item is considered used and is not eligible for return unless it is confirmed defective.
Restocking Fee
A restocking fee may be applied to eligible returns depending on the condition of the item received:
• Item returned in original, undamaged condition with all packaging: No restocking fee
• Item returned with minor packaging damage or missing accessories: 10-20% restocking fee
• Item returned with significant packaging damage, signs of use, or missing components: 20-30% restocking fee
• Item returned with signs of use or missing components – return may be declined, or up to 100% restocking fee
The applicable restocking fee will be communicated to you when your return is reviewed and before it is finalized.
Large Furniture Returns
Returns of large furniture items require pre-approval. Please contact us before initiating any return on items over 20 lbs. Return shipping costs for large items are the customer's responsibility unless the item is defective or incorrect.
Defective or Damaged Items
If your item arrives defective or damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with:
• Your order number
• Clear photos or video showing the defect or damage
• A brief description of the issue
Upon verification, we will provide you with a quick resolution. Claims submitted after 48 hours of delivery may not be eligible for a full remedy.
How to Initiate a Return
• Email support@tjaglobal.com with your order number and reason for return
• Our team will respond within 2 business days with return authorization and instructions
• Pack the item securely in its original packaging
• Ship the item using the instructions provided
Returns sent without prior authorization may not be accepted.
Return Shipping Costs
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is defective, damaged upon arrival, or an incorrect item was sent. We recommend using a trackable shipping method. Oak & Birch is not responsible for return packages lost in transit.
Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your return, we will process your refund within 5-7 business days to the original payment method. Note:
• Original shipping charges are non-refundable (unless the return is due to our error)
• Any applicable restocking fee will be deducted from the refund amount
• Bank or card processing may take an additional 3-10 business days
• You will receive an email confirmation when your refund has been processed
Exchanges
We're happy to assist with exchanges for a different size, color, or style when available. Contact us at support@tjaglobal.com within 30 days of delivery. Exchanges are subject to product availability.
